Target and Gene Information System

As a graduate student in the technical communication master’s degree program at the University of Washington, I conducted a usability study on a Merck’s application called the Target and Gene Information (TGI) System. This application was used by Merck bioinformaticians and geneticists to mine data for their research. When I was later hired by Merck (Rosetta Biosoftware), I created help documentation for TGI using WebWorks ePublisher and Adobe Framemaker to develop HTML-based pages for the online help system.

The executive summary of the TGI usability study (2006).
